About Temperature Converter
A temperature converter changes a value between Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin, the three scales used in everyday life and science. Celsius is the standard in most of the world and in laboratories, Fahrenheit remains common in the United States for weather, ovens, and body temperature, and Kelvin is the SI base unit for thermodynamic work in physics and engineering. Reading all three scales side by side makes it straightforward whenever a recipe, a forecast, or a datasheet uses a different scale from the one you are used to. It is a small but useful reference to keep at hand while working across different sources.
The three scales differ in both their zero point and the size of a single degree. Celsius sets the freezing point of water at zero and its boiling point at one hundred under standard pressure, Fahrenheit places those same points at 32 and 212, and Kelvin begins at absolute zero, the theoretical point where molecular motion stops. Because of that, each conversion is a linear transformation: degrees Fahrenheit equal degrees Celsius times nine fifths plus thirty-two, and Kelvin equals Celsius plus 273.15, so a value of one hundred Celsius reads as 212 Fahrenheit and 373.15 Kelvin.
The tool shows all three scales together and refreshes them live as you type, so you see the equivalents immediately without doing the arithmetic or flipping through a reference chart. Enter a number, choose which scale it is in from the dropdown, and the matching values in the other two scales appear below, rounded to two decimal places for precision. That live, side-by-side display makes it easy to verify a conversion, to teach the relationships between the scales, or to switch between them while reading a specification written in a different unit.
How to use this Temperature Converter

- Select the source unit (Celsius, Fahrenheit, or Kelvin) from the dropdown.
- View the converted values in all three scales below.
- Click on the result box to copy the Celsius value to your clipboard.
FAQ
What is temperature conversion?
Temperature conversion changes values between different temperature scales. Celsius is used worldwide, Fahrenheit is common in the US, and Kelvin is the SI unit for scientific work.
Does the temperature converter call any external API?
No. This tool runs entirely in your browser. The calculations happen instantly on your device with no network calls.
Is this temperature tool free?
Yes, it's completely free with no limits on usage.
What are the formulas?
Celsius to Fahrenheit: °F = (°C × 9/5) + 32. Fahrenheit to Celsius: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9. Kelvin to Celsius: °C = K − 273.15.
